When EPS is used as thermal insulation boards with sufficient density, it is much more durable than the life of building if it is protected from external affects. Technically there is no restriction in a lifetime. It is most preferred thermal-insulating material in Europe.
The density of the Styrofoam (EPS) that is used in Zenon Panel is 16 kg/m3. This density is optimum choice and is determined by the Ministry. EPS is protected from external effects because it is places inside minimum 3 cm concrete layers, EPS is not exposed to influences such as blow, pressure, over temperatures or ultraviolet rays. Therefore, the lifetime will be longer than the life of the building styrofoam.
Zenon Panel is a thermal isolated system. There is no need extra insulation applicaton over Zenon Panel. Depending on the climate region of construction site that Zenon Panel will be applied, suitable thickness of the panel should be preferred. Zenon Panel construction system is lightweight micro-reinforced concrete system. There is no difference from other systems in terms of concrete life. Components of Zenon Panel are galvanized steel wire, sand, cement and EPS. The wires are Zinc coated and galvanized order to extend its life. As a result, Zenon Panel protects it's durability and the thermal insulation features for 50-60 years time period accepted as the economic life of the concrete buildings.

Traditional block walls do not has any reinforcement and they are not anchored to the concrete frame. Therefore, block walls are easily collapsed during the earthquake and they causes injury or loss of life.

Zenon Panel was placed as frame wall of a fire cell that has a temperature exceeding 1000 °C. According to the test result zenonpanel wall system has been shown to have a fire resistance of 120 minutes. Fire resistance class of Zenon Panel is defined as E120.
In addition, it also requires to know that, the EPS used in Zenon Panel have made of hard flammable B1 class and 98% of the volume is air. it melts when exposed to flame, and the volume is reduced. When contact is cut off with fire the melting stops.
After the completion of rough plaster process, all kinds of coating can be applied on Zenon Panel wall, such as paint, tile or mosaic. In this regard there is no difference from a conventional wall applications.
Zenon Panel is not waterproof because it is lightweight concrete system. No need for extra insulation in use as exterior walls. Just painting is enough.
For roofs after pouring concrete, insulating liquids can be applied. All coatings such as shingle, membrane, tile or metal tiles or plastic based coverings can be applied onto concrete.
On both surfaces of the Zenon Panel wall, there is a cement based concrete section integral with the mesh 3 to 3.5 cm in thickness. By using 3 cm dowels desired load can be hung on this section easily. Consequently heavy loads can be hung on Zenon panel wall.
Zenon Panel is an official product with National Approval and Standards Instution certificates. Therefore, any usage restrictions in terms of formal institutions are not concerned. It is an also defined product in the unit price book of ministery. It is sufficient to declare the insulation and other technical values to the municipalities and other local authorities.
Installation is quite easy on Zenon Panel. Basically installation pipe is passed through the gap between the wire and polystyrene (EPS). Thick tubes are passed easily by melting the polystyrene (EPS) slightly with lighter or small blowtorch. Detailed information is available on our website.

Zenon Panel plaster is composed of sand and cement mortar. It does not contain any additives. To obtain a strong mortar 0-4 mm coarse sand and 300 kg/m3 cement should be used. Adding lime to mortar is absolutely wrong. Plaster can be applied by hand or machine. Using mixer for the mortar production is recommended. Detailed information is available on our website.
Lime based plaster can not be applied directly on the panel. To strengthen the panel, should be plastered with cement based mortat until the wire mesh is completely closed. By this way the steel truss of zenon panel is protected from corrosion effect of the plaster. After the completion of rough cement based plaster, diffrent kind of plasters can be done.
Before the mortar stage, metal or wooden frames are mounted to the window space. After completion of mortar application, the window and door is mounted to frame or panel by screwing.
Zenon Panel is a breathable wall system.
Thanks to steel mesh reinforcement and continuous diagonal wires, Zenon Panel has a high load carrying and transferring capability.
With additional reinforcement on panel or forming beam sections, it can be adapted to the required load. Sections may be formed according to needs and solution is produced.
